Frequently Asked Questions

Why do you need A Full-Service Safety Management Program?

Accidents are Expensive

In addition to their social costs, workplace injuries and illnesses have a major impact on an employer's bottom line. It has been estimated that employers pay almost $1 billion per week for direct workers' compensation costs alone. The costs of workplace injuries and illnesses include direct and indirect costs.

Having a VALID Employee Safety Program can save the Employer thousands of dollars per year.

OSHA Fines are Expensive

OSHA Penalties

Below are the maximum penalty amounts, with the annual adjustment for inflation, that may be assessed after Jan. 15, 2022. (See OSHA Memo, Jan 13, 2022).

Type of Violation Penalty

Serious

Other-Than-Serious

Posting Requirements: $14,502 per violation

Failure to Abate:  $14,502 per day beyond the abatement date

Willful or Repeated: $145,027 per violation

Workers Compensation Costs can be mitigated

Employers who have an accident or receive OSHA citations will see an increase in their workers compensation costs. These costs will have a lingering impact on the bottom line as they typically will be carried forward for 3+ years in the employer’s rates. Having a valid employee safety program will help eliminate these costs.
